Day 1: Abha - Al Namas - Tanuma Tour

Dear Lykkers, our journey begins at 10 am with a visit to the famous Tuesday Market in Abha. This bustling market has been a cultural cornerstone for over 25 years. It's the perfect spot to explore local artifacts like pottery, iron crafts, traditional clothing, jewelry, ghee, honey, and aromatic flowers.

After lunch, we visit the Al-Jahal Museum, one of Asir’s most important cultural landmarks. This museum, founded in 1976, is housed in a traditional stone building adorned with intricate carvings. It boasts over 14,000 artifacts, including utensils, ornaments, and rare manuscripts.

Next, we head to Al-Namas, also known as "the city of fog," to visit the Al-Maqar Palace. This palace, steeped in history, houses thousands of decorations.

Finally, we travel to Tanuma, just 20 minutes from Al-Namas, for an invigorating mountain hike. Surrounded by juniper trees and stone houses, Tanuma is a paradise for hikers, bird watchers, and climbers.

Day 2: Rijal Al-Ma’a - Abha High City Tour

Our second day starts with a scenic drive to Rijal Al-Ma’a, a heritage village renowned for its multicolored stone buildings and castles. Ranked among the world's best tourist villages, this stop is a must-visit for history buffs.

Next, we head to Al-Soudah, the highest mountain peak in Saudi Arabia at an altitude of 3,000 meters. Here, we explore the Asir National Park, a favorite destination for camping and hiking enthusiasts. As the day ends, we witness a breathtaking sunset above the clouds, offering a serene panoramic view.

We conclude the day with a visit to Abha High City, where you can explore cozy cafes and restaurants while enjoying fresh mountain air and stunning views. This city is a summer haven for tourists escaping the desert heat.

Day 3: Abha City Tour: Shamsan Castle - Cable Car and More

We begin the day at the historic Shamsan Castle, built during the Ottoman era in the 16th century. This castle has served as a defense barracks and a protective stronghold, withstanding centuries of history.

After lunch, we explore Art Street, a vibrant hub for art lovers featuring galleries, theaters, and unique restaurants.

The highlight of the day is a ride on Abha’s famous cable car, offering panoramic views of the Sarawat mountain range. This one-of-a-kind experience gives you a bird’s-eye view of the lush parks below.

Day 4: Departure

We bid farewell to the beautiful Asir region as our 4-day adventure concludes.
